Hamilton echoes MP4-26 concerns

March 9, 2011

A day after the 2009 World Champion talks about the lack of pace in the MP4-26, his team mate, the 2008 World Champion Lewis Hamilton echoes his team mates concerns over the cars speed. Hamilton said the 2011 chalanger car is far from ready to be at the front, let alone chalange a title hunt. Since the cars unveiling last month, it has struck many issues. Hamilton told BBC "Do I believe I have a car to win the world championship at the moment? I don't. No, But that doesn't mean it won't become a world championship-winning car." Button was 0.366 seconds behind Red Bull driver Mark Webber's best time in testing at Barcelona but his time was limited in the morning session because of exhaust problems. Hamilton was fourth behind world champion Sebastian Vettel on Wednesday's second day after reliability issues confined him to spells in the garage.
