A third Briton has been confirmed in F1

The Scott of Paul Di Resta has been confirmed as the third Briton that will compete in Formula 1 in the 2011 season. The 24-year old will partner Adrian Sutil in the Force India team. It is believed that the Scott will replace the Italian of Vitantonio Liuzzi. It is also believed that the Italian will not be completely removed from the team, but that he will replace Di Resta as the reserve driver. When Force India was asked about the subject by reporters, team officials refused to comment. Di Resta, who is a Mercedes protégé and won the DTM German Touring Car Championship for the marque in 2010, impressed Force India while driving in Friday morning practice sessions and the team have decided they have to give him a race seat. However, Liuzzi has a firm contract for 2011 and talks to resolve the situation are yet to be concluded.
